Question about the r4 for ds?

My R4 arrived today and I was very happy and still am, it plays roms fine but the only thing I wonder about it the loading times.
A lot of the games take about a minute or 2 to load, once loaded they play perfectly fine, save properly and everything. Was just wondering if this is normal
