If i Update my r4 3DS on a dsi xl will it mean i wont be able to use my r4i SDHC on that console ?
“www.r4i-sdhc.com in the downloads section, underneath the UPGRADE FIRMWARE AREA, there are 2 download links, the first of which it the one i needed for the latest 3DS version. after downloading and unziping the file, i moved the .nds file in there onto my microSD card, along with the v1.40b kernel downloaded above the aforementioned link, and placed the card in my old DS lite, and ran the .nds file like a game. the file upgraded my firmware; when i next placed the card in my v2.1.0-3E 3DS, the logo had changed to the Chessmaster logo, and i could play it on my 3DS again.
maybe it’s common sense to download that file and apply it with an older DS, but up until now i just drag.”
This is the solution to my problem but i dont want to leave the dsi xl i will be using useless with a r4i sdhc card as my other half uses that. Thanks!
