do you think of the 90s as the \’bridge\’ between the old and the modern ..?

i mean.. when we talk about the 80s we instantly say ”oh thats so old ” .. and when it comes to 2000s we say it’s all ‘new and modern’ ..
so in between, do you think the 90s decade bridged that gap ??

i believe so .. because ive seen the evolution of most technologies today in the late 90s, especially the internet, phones etc .

Internet not working!!!! Help??!?

Okay.. It says I can’t connect to the internet. Phones, and everything elsa can connect only my laptop can connect. When I was at my friends house my laptop worked. And when she came over here once, her laptop worked. So why isn’t my laptop working!!?! Help please.

Is there a way to record your phone conversations in skype ?

I am using paid skype call & making a call to USA & UK landline as well as mobile ( Cell ) number using a headset.

Also since this call is made using my computer & Internet, what phone number would appear on other person’s mobile handset or if he has call identification on his landline ?

I would appreciate a step by step instructions.

Can I port my home number to an internet phone ?

I am finally going away from a home phone. My first thought was to import the number to my cell phone but Its a prepaid that I rarely use. I still may do that.

But I was wondering about these internet phone type deals. Is there a way to retain my old number & do that ?

Does this sound like a modem hardware problem? I lose non-wireless connection occasionally.?

I have cable internet (not wireless) and Vonage internet phone service. Occasionally my internet and phone service go dead for a few seconds to a few minutes; then they come back by themselves. I think my cable TV connection stays good during these breaks, but I can’t be sure about that. Does this sound like a modem problem or could it be a Comcast issue? Is there any way to verify without just buying a new modem?

What is the advantage of having skype phone replacing one\’s landline virgin media?

Virgin media is ripping me off at present. If skype has all the features then why not replace it with skype cordless?

Why does my desk lamp have an internet connection?

I’m not kidding at all.

I’m going off to college next week. About 4 weeks ago, my older sister gave me an Alsy desk lamp. It’s got two cup-like cylenders and a shallow dish-type one, a bendy neck, and needs a 40 watt bulb. It comes with a power cord, but the perplexing thing is, right next to the power cord another cord is attached, a gray one with an internet/phone line connection head, you know, the rectangular type with metal bars on the end and a plastic lever on top. I plugged it into my laptop, but nothing happened. The only thing it came with was a tiny pamplet saying how great it is and the cleaning instrctuions, repeated in Spanish, and its website, www.emessdesign.com. I couldn’t find the lamp on that website. So, I’m left perplexed. Why the blazes does my desk lamp have an internet connection cable attached to it?

question about networking?

I’m wanting to network 2 computers in my home. I currently have a wireless network and want to make it wired. I have fios internet & phone but no tv. I also have coax cable throughout the house which is not hooked up to anything right now. Can I use the coax cable with a moca to connect the 2 computers? I’m also using a actiontex MI424WR router. Any help would be appreciated.
