I need a good all around knife any ideas?

I am moving to Idaho and i want a good quality all around knife. I want it to have a legal blade length to carry in the city a good grip handle large enough to get the job done on anything from cutting boxes to hunting, but small enough to shove in my pocket and not have people staring at me a good handle
i have been looking at the tactical knifes with the window puncher and belt cutter but am not sure if i want a folder or a fixed blade and a good locking plastic sheath that can get wet when we are out hunting and boating so an all around good knife

so what i am trying to say is if you think these are good tell me which one or if you know of a better one

P.S. i would like it semi cheap unless it is a really good knife (the custom on i have i really like but don’t know if i can afford

2 year old terrified of me !?

My little sister, who is 2 years old is absolutely terrified of me. Today when she got home from the baby sitter’s she was alright. I was working on a 3d house model for my construction class, and i was cutting foam board(for the walls) with my utility-knife. She watched me for like a minute. Then my mother gave her strawberries, and she saw all the red strawberry-juice stains on her hands and sleeves. She got really scared, covered her hands under her sleeves and ran away from the table. Then she was screaming and crying in horror-like terror. She obviously thought i cut her, im sure thats what her mind processed. She’s even scared of my 3d project. (tears runnin down my face right now :*( .)–The way she tightly clenched onto my moms arms, shaking and trying to get away from me, and trying to hide behind my moms back.

She seemed fine later with me. She was even playing with me and being her happy little self.

But she had another ‘ episode’ again later .

This is really emotionally hard on me, because of the way she rejects me. I’m her favorite brother, she trusts me and even feels safe and protected by me.

To just suddenly go from that to this is making me feel like she wont ever see me like that, and hate me you know…I can’t live without her.

What can we do, PLEASE, to find a solution. I want her to love me again. … is this normal stage thing in child development…

Is my cousin in a gang, or is he just a "pretend" gangster?

Well, my cousin over the last year has taken a big turn for the worse. He’s in college (just turned 18 yrs old), and his 1st semester just finished and he has a 2.1 GPA. When he comes back home, he’s never here. He goes out till 4 a.m, got a $500 ticket for underage drinking, and my uncle recently found a large pocket knife that he carries around. His reasoning was “I need it, just in case.” He doesn’t listen to when anyone talks to him either. I also overheard him talking with friends and they were doing gang symbols and I saw him with a picture of all these different symbols on his laptop. He also talks about how he needs to get some tattoos, and when I ask him “why?” I’m told “it’s private.”
Where we live definently isn’t exactly a “rough area”, we live in suburbs, but it’s known that there is some gang in our town (I don’t know much about it).
What do you think? Is he involved in some type of gang, or is just pretending?

Can I carry a folding knife on a California college campus?

I was wondering if it was legal for me to carry around a folding pocket knife(blade less than 4 inches) to school everyday. I go to a California state university school and I just want a definite yes or no answer on if I can bring a folding knife. Thanks!

Was Pulling a Knife a Total Overreaction?

Okay so one of my friends the other day overheard a guy talking about his younger sister (she is like 15 and the other guy looked like he was around that age as well) and he was saying stuff like “That chick is hot”,”I’d get with that” and what not, and my friend went over to him and pulled a knife and told him that if he ever talked that way about his sister again he would kill him. I mean it wasn’t much more than a large pocket-knife and I know him well enough to know that it was just for theatrics, but do you think he totally over reacted?
I think to some degree it was really sweet that he’s so protective of his sister, but I mean he is 17 and a big guy! And I don’t mean that like he’s overweight, I mean he is a a big, strong dude, so I don’t think the pocket-knife was really necessary to get his point across.
So what do you think? Is it sweet that he cares so much or a total over reaction?

I’m doing a writing assignment on the manufacturing/production of folding knives. Been looking everywhere for info but no luck. Does anybody know any site that has information on how folding knives are made?

How to get help? (CUTTING) I\’m 14.?

I’ve been self harming for some time now, it started off with scratches and then to cuts, I’ve used a razorblade which made me bleed a bit and I started to go deeper and it bleeds more, I’ve just recently started to use a utility knife blade aswell.
I cut whenever I feel upset, lonely or sad/depressed and I think its getting worst. I know its not right to cut but its an escape, it makes me feel calmer and feel better when I feel miserable.
I don’t want to give it up but at the same time I know its best for me to get help. I’ve been very impulsive and seriously thought about suicide many times, I’m afraid that one day it’ll get very worse..
I know a teacher who has helped me in the past with bullying issues and she helps other students, shes not a teacher or counseller, she has a room to help students with advice, she works with the anti bullying team, but I know she isnt a counseller at all, and because shes helped me in the past I can trust her and I think I should let her know about my self harm addiction..

How do I go about telling her? “I self harm..and I want some help” and show her my arm? I don’t know what to say exactly I mean.

Would my parents have to be called up? Will my subject teachers all have to know? (I don’t mind so much)

What would happen after I tell her? will I have to see a counseller? what are the stages of the help/therapy?
